Great Barrier Reef, Rafting and Kuranda
Welcome to Cairns North Queensland, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural wonders of the World and an amazing World Heritage-listed, spectacular aquatic environment.
Join us on this three-day adventure, which includes a Day on the Great Barrier Reef, another Rafting the mighty rapids of the Barron River and then a relaxing day in Kuranda, the village in the Rainforest travelling on the Kuranda Scenic Train and Skyrail Cable Car.
You can do this Rafting, Reef and Rainforest package in any order, and you can also have a day’s break in between if you wish.
Day 1 – Reef Experience
Join us onboard our high-speed Catamaran, “Reef Experience,” for an unforgettable day of visiting two pristine Outer Reef locations and discovering the breathtaking wonder beneath the surface for yourself.
Reef Experience is Cairns’ only ALL-inclusive Great Barrier Reef trip, and it offers a FREE Scuba Dive.
Catering for all levels of Swimming and Diving, everyone will find the perfect way to experience the Great Barrier Reef.
Experienced Swimmer or Snorkeler? Our crew will show you to the best patches of coral and can tell you where to find the marine marvels that call the reef their home.
Never Snorkeled before or cannot Swim? Or need some assistance in the water? Don’t worry, our friendly and professional Crew are always ready to jump in and assist everybody who needs help. They make sure you have fun, meet some friendly fish and enjoy the magic of the reef, and ensuring that you are comfortable with your equipment! Buoyancy aids are available to everyone. These will help maintain your freedom of movement while comfortably allowing you to stay at the surface and observe the marine life beneath and are available for you on board.

Important Information
It is always our mission to provide our passengers with the very best Great Barrier Reef experience.
Queensland, Australia has some of the strictest scuba diving rules in the world but also the safest scuba diving record. We are regulated by the Queensland Government Code of Practice and comply with all regulations.
To avoid disappointment on your day of travel we strongly recommend that all of our passengers complete our dive medical questionnaire prior to booking as some medical conditions, age and medications may prevent you from scuba diving.
Flying after Scuba Diving
For a single no decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive. For multiple dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive. If Skydiving or Hot Air Ballooning you must wait 24 hours after your dive. We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible

Day 2 – Barron River Whitewater Rafting
Experience the fun, thrills and spills on white water rafting half-day you will never forget. Ride the rush of the exciting Barron River through the Barron Gorge National Park.
Barron River Rafting is a fantastic introduction to Whitewater Rafting. It’s fun, exciting, and exhilarating, suitable for all the family. You will enjoy up to two hours rafting on up to grade 3 rapids.
Your trained and experienced guides will provide all the tuition you need. During the day, they will teach you the best techniques. Along the way, they will also share with you the history and wonders of this magnificent landscape, which few get to see.

Day 3 – Kuranda Train and Skyrail
Combining the Scenic Train journey with the world-famous Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a great way to experience this World Heritage-listed tropical rainforest and Kuranda Village.
You will be in awe of the excellent views of the world-listed rainforest, steep ravines and picturesque waterfalls within the Barron Gorge National Park.
The Kuranda Scenic Train gives visitors a fantastic view of the rainforest at ground level. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway provides an extraordinary birds-eye-view of the rainforest as it soars silently only meters above the rainforest canopy.
Kuranda Scenic Train from Kuranda to Cairns takes you on a step back in time to the day of our Pioneers. During your 90-minute journey, you will learn about the pioneering history of the tropical north that shaped the region of today. Climbing over 40 small bridges and through many dark tunnels while winding its way to the picturesque mountain retreat of the Kuranda Village.

Kuranda Itinerary
- Your tour starts with a pick-up from your Cairns City Accommodation
- Then, it’s off to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to glide above the Rainforest
- After the Skyrail, you arrive in the rainforest village of Kuranda.
- Here, you’ll have free time to explore the region further.
- Visit the historic Kuranda markets, the Butterfly Sanctuary or Koala Gardens, all at your own pace.
- Then, return over the rainforest, and your journey on the Kuranda Scenic Rail begins.
- At the Cairns Railway Station, you will meet your air-conditioned driver coach, which will take you back to your hotel.
